Emergency Preparedness

Are you prepared? Disasters can happen at any moment. What would you do if basic services such as water, gas, electricity, or telephones were cut off. Planning in advance can help. Work with your family and use the links below to prepare a plan and have an emergency kit availiable.

The Town of Lee has be working diligently on a Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) which was completed in 2005. The purpose of this plan and assciated supporting documents is to facilitate the delivery of local government, community, and mutual aid resources, and to provide needed assistance and relief to disaster victims and the community at large. As no community has the resources to manage a major emergency without outside assistance, this plan represents the town's best intentions to deal with disaster within the framework of community-wide cooperation, and statewide coordination. To further plan for the Town, a Emergency Planning Team (EPT) was formed consisting of members from the Selectmens Office, Police Department, Fire Department, Highway Department, Planning and Zoning Office, Mast Way Elementary School, and Town volunteers. The EPT completed a Hazardous Mitigation Plan to assist the Town Departments in a time of emergency.

We will be adding both plans to this website for viewing in the future.
